Three Ways to Reduce Depression

Depression is hard! Depression can steal your motivation, energy and joy.

Sometimes simply changing your scenery can help with depression.

Sometimes simply changing something can help.

Try these ways to reduce your depression.

1. Change your environment:

- If you are inside your house, go outside on the porch or back yard

- If you are sitting in your bedroom, move to the living room or kitchen

2. Get moving:

- Go pick up your mail and/or newspaper

- Take your dog for a walk

- Go to the gym and work out

- Go swimming at the pool

- Do some wall pushups

3. Do something for someone else:

- Call a friend/family member

- Send a card to someone who is ill

- Make a donation to a charitable organization in someone’s name
