Paul May
Mental Health Counselor, LPCC
Paul May is a counselor, ordained minister, and Air Force Reserve chaplain who works with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families. His approach blends practical, evidence-based tools with warm relational presence, shaped by his experience in community mental health, private practice, pastoral ministry, and military chaplaincy.
Paul specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, addictions, relational strain, faith and identity questions, grief, and major life transitions. His work is informed by a narrative and trauma-aware framework that honors the complexity of each person’s story and the courage required to face deep wounds with honesty, compassion, and hope. Having experience in both crisis-response settings and long-term therapeutic relationships, he offers a grounded, compassionate environment where clients can feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported.Â
Paul is committed to helping people move from surviving to growing, bringing a calm, steady presence and a deep belief that change is possible even when hope feels thin.
Paul holds an MA and an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary and is a trained PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator. Whether clients are facing challenges in marriage, parenting, addiction recovery, spiritual life, or personal wellbeing, Paul meets them with empathy, clarity, and practical guidance — helping them move toward healing, resilience, and restored relationships.
